Please find below some tips how to take even better care of your pool: - Pools with a foil finish should always be kept full.
- Immediately remove leaves and other impurities from the pool bottom as they may lead to surface discoloration.
- While dosing chemicals into water remember to keep the filtering equipment in operation to enforce the continuous water flow. The majority of chemicals are heavier than water so they could sink to the bottom what may result in foil discoloration. It particularly concerns chlorine powder chemicals, thus, they are better first dissolved or diluted in a plastic bucket and only then added to the pool water (always add chemicals to water, never pour water onto chemicals! Never stir them by hand!)
- Put chlorine tablets into a dosage float, avoid placing them into the skimmer. If water circulation is broken, it may lead to excessive chlorine concentration in the skimmer what, in turn, may result in foil discoloration around the skimmer.
- After adding chemicals into the pool wait at least one filtering cycle (approx. 6 hours) before you have a swim. Thus, it is most practical to add chemicals in the evening and after a bath. In case of some Bayrol chemicals water is suitable for swimming in already 15 minutes after dosing.
- To avoid dirt accumulation clean walls and bottom of your pool with a vacuum cleaner on a regular basis.
- If you spot lime deposits or rust use concentrated Decalcit liquid to wash them off.
- Avoid situations with the pH below 7.2 as this will have a damaging effect on the foil or grout in the pool. On the other hand, pH value above 7.8 may lead to excessive limescale deposits on pool walls, filtering and heating devices.
- From time to time remove the limescale from the filtering system, and particularly the filter itself using Decalcit Filter.
- Water temperature should not exceed 300C as the pool surface should persist then for at least 10 years.
