It is a new pool water disinfection method, perhaps not so popular yet, but gaining more and more fans.

The method uses table salt which, added to pool water, makes water a bit salty. Salt concentration, however, should be very low, half as salty as a human teardrop. Therefore the water is still nice to your skin and does not cause irritation.

The disinfection process requires special equipment, an electronically controlled electrolytic cell.
