If you are not satisfied with chlorine water treatment, you can choose other, alternative pool water disinfection methods which include disinfection with active oxygen.
Active oxygen works similarly to chlorine. Active substances in the oxygen method kill bacteria and germs in the pool water. However, those chemicals do not have the same effectiveness in regard to algae prevention. Therefore, all the offered oxygen disinfection chemicals contain two components: the already mentioned active ones and an algaecide and only then disinfection is complete and effective. Active components used in oxygen disinfection are used for "shock treatment" – they decompose debris in pool water. They work like a unique chemical filter where visible debris (e.g. cloudy water) is decomposed into indiscernible particles with immediately noticeable effects. Active oxygen-based products can be used for shock treatment instead of chlorine chemicals and are compatible with the chlorine method.
Have a swim only an hour after using the oxygen chemical – wait a bit longer (4-6 hours) if you use chlorine you. Water does not have the unpleasant chlorine smell after oxygen disinfection. The method is ideal for you if you or your family are allergic to chlorine compounds and allows you to fully enjoy the charms and pleasures of your own pool. Oxygen water treatment is also popular among owners of whirlpools and minipools. |
