It is best to start the season by draining the “winterised” water and washing thoroughly walls and bottom of the pool. If the pool was appropriately prepared for winter, cleaning should not pose any problems(read also: before winter). Use Bayrol cleaning chemicals, e.g. Decalcit, which is ideal for the purpose and shall considerably simplify the work, replace the filter medium of the sand filter.
Fill the pool with water and, immediately afterwards, control the pH value and water hardness (see step 1 in Step by step dosage) and perform shock water treatment. The shock disinfection requires use of chlorine chemicals (see step 2 in Step by step dosage) and their increased dosage, in accordance with instructions on the packaging.
After three days start using regular chemical doses. If water has not got much dirty throughout the winter, it is not necessary to refill the pool. Check the water level and control the pH (see step 1 in Step by step dosage), water hardness should also be tested. Then, perform also shock disinfection (see step 2 in Step by step dosage). For the period of the first 7 days rinse the filter medium at least five times, after second rinsing add a flocculant (if you have a sand filter).
